Could AA be a cult?

I heard about a fascinating organization on NPR today, called SOS. Turns out they are an alternative to Alcoholics Anonymous that stresses the importance of personal responsibility. You don't have to believe in God to be a member, in fact they encourage you to think for yourself. Their slogan, "Save Our Selves".

This is a great article about cult behavior
I found on their website. If you know any alcoholics or drug addicts who have shown resistance to the higher power restrictions of AA, encourage them to check out SOS. It may just save their life.
