Tribune prints anti-OFTA letter
The News Tribune printed Todd Iverson's letter urging lawmakers not to pass OFTA, the Oman Free Trade Agreement. My only problem? They waited a week to print it, so it's kind of pointless. Call your member of Congress and harangue them for voting for this piece of crap: 1-888-355-3588
Here's the letter:
Dicks should vote against anti-worker legislation

The U.S. House of Representatives will be voting soon on the ratification of the Oman Free Trade Agreement. OFTA follows the same bad template of the Central America Free Trade Agreement, which gives little to no protection for workers, hampers environmental laws, and gives unfair advantages to corporations over citizens and local governments.
Furthermore, Oman has documented abuses of workers, forced labor and human trafficking.
This is another domino in the corporate game of undermining workers’ rights and ultimately government’s ability to protect its citizens from greed and abuse.
Will Congressman Norm Dicks buck his current trend of supporting these unfair trade agreements? We can only hope.
