The Democratic Party is in a crisis - Now's our chance to take it over!

As you've seen by watching the nightmare over the Iraq Funding Bill, a lot of Democrats across the country are sick to death of the way our leaders in Washington are handling this situation.

This gives us a brilliant opportunity to seize the Democratic Party. If you believe that the Party should stand for the values of constitutional rights, peace, and justice in all aspects of life, then you owe it to yourself to get active. I wrote about this in a post for the America in Solidarity blog, in which I call upon all working Americans to get active and seize the party for the people. Needless to say, I'm ready to get back into the party to change it from within. But I'm going to need the support of my fellow bloggers and progressives and trade union activists. I want to see you there! Don't leave me hanging, brothers and sisters!

Get involved! This is our chance to set the policies that will be followed in years to come. Remember, FDR didn't start progressive, we made him that way! Let's do the same again now!

Thanks for the link! It's fun to read a progressive blogger involved in the labor movement. I think there haven't been enough connections between the two groups so far. It's also good to see folks seeing the disappointing performance of the Democrats as a call to action, rather than as an excuse for cynicism. Blog on!
